PDO Thread Lift $1600+

This treatment utilizes FDA-approved Polydioxanone (PDO) threads. Product name: Mint PDO.

This procedure includes two visits, with the follow-up visit included in the price.

These dissolvable yet durable barb-wired sutures anchor to the deeper layers of the tissue to lift and help with the gravitational downward pull, such as the jowls, cheeks, smile lines, and chin area. Not only does it do a great job lifting and correcting, but it also helps strengthen the tissue beneath by producing more collagen and adhesive components.

Prices start at $1600 per area for treatment of jowls, cheeks, and smile lines.

Smooth thread treatments are also available for other areas, such as the nose and smile lines. Inquire now for a free consultation.

Q and A for PDO Threads

How many threads do I get for $1600 in one area?

Excellent question. Please read below. I use Mint PDO threads. I generally provide about five threads per side of the area (for example, the chin area). So you purchase ten threads. You may return for an adjustment in ten weeks, free of charge. You can have up to three additional threads per side during the adjustment to ensure long-lasting results.

How long does it last?

If done correctly, WITH the appropriate amount of threads, it can last up to 18 months or even more. Remember, our skin changes as we age in terms of elasticity, weight gain, weight loss, etc. Just like any procedure, it requires up-keeping anywhere from fillers to Botox to relax the muscles around it (if needed) and collagen boosters.

Am I a good candidate for PDO threads?

Not everyone is a candidate. Some people have thin and excess skin and would benefit from a mini facelift instead. Some clients have dense tissues that may require excess threads to provide that desirable effect. Other clients may require biostimulators before the procedure, such as Radiesse or Sculptra, to strengthen their tissues for optimal effect. Remember, it is not an actual facelift. If you want more long-term results (such as five-plus years), consult a plastic surgeon. My consultations are always free in person or virtually.

They say don’t sleep on your face, eat solids, or yell after the procedure. Why?

They are correct. Remember, the PDO threads can be engaged or disengaged the first few days after the procedure. If we sleep on our newly treated areas, the threads can disengage and no longer attach to the tissue. So we recommend avoiding sleeping on your face, chewing on hard foods, or doing facial movements that cause excess movement. You may feel a barbed wire snap if you “yawn or yell across the football field,” as an example.

Why are you so cheap compared to other clinicians?

I work alone, and you get charged for the product and my time with you. My goal is to ensure optimal results, encouraging return visits.

Does it hurt?

It depends on each patient's pain threshold; some feel nothing, while others feel everything. After the procedure, you may have some discomfort because of the swelling, especially with sudden and drastic facial movements that may come in contact with the thread’s alignment. Within two weeks, this discomfort will resolve.

Can I go back to work after?

Yes and no. It all depends on the procedure. Remember, you will have areas of injections and swelling during the first few days that you cannot cover with makeup. In terms of sedation, it involves local analgesia, such as lidocaine injection. Anti-anxiety medication may be prescribed to you if you experience excessive nervousness. I most certainly have gone back to work the next day in the past.
